Take Off Your Sunglasses

Domestic Violence Issues

Welcome

Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to visit.  It's 2010, where have the last 10 years gone!!!  This website is still devoted with loving concern to all women who at one time or another fell in love with someone that abused them in some form. This is a safe place to share and be there for each other.  Domestic Violence is being talked about more openly now and I am happy for this.  People like Oprah and Rhianna are talking and the world is taking notice of the ugliness that it is.

This website is a vessel to connect with women of all ages to speak frankly about the ugly topic of abuse.  I was promoting my first published work, entitled, TAKE OFF YOUR SUNGLASSES in 08' and 09', but now I just want people to talk about how they feel about the topic and ways to help each other.   I wrote this book to get in touch with Cheryle and free myself and thank God as I update this website, I really feel free.  I finally recognized what I was carrying around years ago was unhealthy and I've made peace with myself so I can share in a positive way, my experience, strength and hope with others.  I feel healthy enough to pay it forward and make a difference in someones life.

My book was inspired by all the women who have suffered, are still suffering ,or who lost the fight against DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.  I know these women, I was one of these women.  I relate to loving someone so much I lost myself.  When you read the book you will get to know the inner thinking of a young woman named Mia and understand how her thinking controlled her life to the point of self destruction.  This young woman is not unique in her dysfunction, however she faces her reality and "Takes Off Her Sunglasses".  Can you get honest with yourselves and take off all the things you hide behind?

My hope is that someone will come away from reading this story, which is a wild ride indeed, and feel empowered and know for sure they are not alone, nor are they crazy or different from many other women.  We ALL can stand up and survive to tell our own story.  Ladies we need to help each other rise up and walk away from an unhealthy relationship and this is a matter of life and death.
